05.05.2008 - Rapid Increase of the number of STIs screeners in Germany
STI is to add a further 20 additional screeners to the rapid expanding number of passengers in Airport Weeze, bringing to 70 the total number in the next months.
The regional Government of Düsseldorf, responsible for Aviation Security in the western part of Germany, with which STI has a long-year screener contract, will increase the number of checkpoints and control lanes at the regional Airport Weeze.
Ryanair, the largest European low cost airline, gave the impulse for this development. Airport Weeze has achieved the highest passenger number record in its 5-year history with over 800,000 passengers and was therefore the German commercial airport with the highest growth rate in 2007.
