16.11.2011 - STI opens new air cargo control center in Kelsterbach

Since the new STI office in Kelsterbach attained the status of "Regulated Agent for air cargo" from the German Federal Aviation Authority (LBA), all regulatory approvals are available for us to operate our newly acquired X-ray inspection and explosives trace detection equipment as a service to the air cargo industry.

As a neutral service for Regulated Agents, in cooperation with the logistics company T World Service GmbH, we can now actively offer professional security inspection of your air cargo consignments.

At our site in Kelsterbach, we have everything set up to centrally accept air cargo consignments from freight forwarders and transport companies located all over Germany and timeously deliver them to the different handling companies at Frankfurt Airport.

Companies using our services in this way have the important advantage that the driver only has one single unloading point to deliver to, instead of several at the airport where considerable waiting times would also have to be contended with. This of course has an added advantage for the driver in that he does not have to have any knowledge of the complex structures of the airport and can thereby save an enormous amount of time, which of course represents a cost saving to you.

By using the latest technology and equipment, our facility is also ideal to provide the training of current and future aviation security screeners. Our qualified instructors don’t only utilise the most modern security screening equipment from Smiths Heimann, but also the world renowned proprietary screener training software OTS (Operator Training System) for both initial and re-current training onsite.
